Alaska doesn't seem appealing to most. It's cold + wet, vs a warm, sunny tropical location. It also has a reputation for not being kid friendly. However, there are many perks to an Alaskan vacation, your children included.
Take a break from the heat (assuming you live in a state with hot summers) and travel somewhere cooler during the summer. Favorite clothing linked in this post.
Enjoy long, sunlight filled days. Click here to read my blog post about Alaskan weather.
I keep hearing things that small children can't do, but there are plenty of excursion options and lots of animals to see! (animals by month here, whale watching options here) My almost 4 year old is SO excited for whales, eagles, salmon, and more.
You get to see a part of the country that you might not travel to otherwise, cruises allow you to visit multiple places without the logistics of transportation, places to stay, etc.
You deserve to travel, see cool places, and enjoy life and all the world has to offer NOW. You don't have to wait until your kids are older to travel.
I'll also link my babywearing blog post, as traveling with kids is just SO much easier with it! If an Alaskan cruise sounds like something you'd be interested, happy to help!
